Kurrunganner Dreaming

Kurrunganner (Mt Bride) has been a beacon of comfort, strength and resilience for me throughout my time in Warburton. Something of the shape of it, the powerful sense of presence it holds, it calms me, strengthens me, fortifies me. Ever present through the windows of my home, Kurrunganner ‘is’, deeply.

CURRENTLY on EXHIBITION - Warburton Arts Centre until early Feb 2025.
This silver gelatin photograph is part of an edition prepared for exhibition Ranging Reflections in 2024, with another 30 Yarra Ranges artists. 31 little gems - 1 artwork each. Each artist was required to create an artwork of a specific dimension 28x19cm, use some form of print making, make work inspired by the Yarra Ranges and create a print edition of 33 + optional AP. I'd normally make very small editions however this edition size was a requirement for the exhibition. Edition 1 is float mounted, framed and available for sale, editions 2-31 have been prepared in a solander box for each artist to take home a collection of work. Edition 33 of 33 has been reserved for the collection of the Shire of Yarra Ranges. Thus just 2 editions are actually available for sale, one framed as part of the exhibition and one that I will ultimately receive in early Feb 2025 in my own portfolio box.

Edition 1 is float mounted and framed in a black box frame ~56x38cm 

The original image was a digitized image, converted into a paper negative, which was then taken into the darkroom and a silver gelatin analog print was made. Each silver gelatin photograph was handmade individually by me.
